About TrueTLD
Finding a domain at a fair price is harder than it should be. There are dozens of registrars, all selling the same names at different prices, and each one leads with a discounted first year that tells you almost nothing about what you will actually pay. Checking them one by one takes hours. Most people give up and register wherever they landed first.
We built TrueTLD so that comparison takes seconds instead. Every extension, every registrar we track, and the number that actually matters — what the domain costs to keep, not just to buy.
A domain you hold for years is mostly renewal years, and the registrar with the flashiest opening price is routinely the most expensive one to own. So we compare extensions the way an owner experiences them: first year, renewal, and the running total at three and five years — whichever matches how long you actually plan to keep the name. Every threshold behind the safe, caution and trap labels is published on our method page, because a grading system nobody can check isn't worth trusting.
The site is free — no account, no paywall. Some registrar links earn us a commission, which never changes your price or affects any grade; how we are paid explains it in full.
